Self Portrait Tuesday- Reflections

The theme for this month's Self Portrait Tuesday is "Reflective Surfaces". This is my husband's shaving mirror in our shower.

They are good shots. Choosing to take pictures with that mirror I think is a lot better than if you'd just done regular mirror shots. Since it's small and doesn't show very much of you, it gives us a much more limited field to focus on.. and I think that if you wanted to, you could use those two pictures to suggest some sort of story. Not sure if it's what you intended or not, but the second one looks somewhat sad.

Also, since we can't see any of the real you - and this is me just reading too much into it, I bet- it's like the reflection is stronger than the reality. In this small world, virtually devoid of color or depth, we can only see what you want us to see. Your face, or the wall - which could be the same thing. The water splashed on the mirror I feel makes it look cold. Lonely? You're looking at it, or looking out of it, and there's no way for us to tell that you're not really inside the mirror...

Pst. Don't get a mirror for his stocking. He already has one.

I like the shots, especially #2. There's something in your expression.
